MENTORING
PROGRAM
MENTORING CLUB
Our mentoring program is an impactful opportunity for our kids and mentors to build upon relationships initiated at camp. Our program runs concurrently with the school year and provides an opportunity to extend our impact throughout the year. Mentors and matches meet for a minimum of 4 hours each month. All participating mentors, children, and staff gather for a Mentoring Club each month.
Mentoring Club provides the children an opportunity to connect with other adults and children in the program. We sing, do art & crafts, eat snacks, tell stories, and so much more! It also allows us to extend the impact that our summer program has on the lives of children in the foster care system, making Central WI Royal Family KIDS a consistent and positive intervention in their lives!
FUN! ON PURPOSE
Our Club has very specific goals. To encourage, empower, and uplift at risk youth. These goals are achieved through a variety of activities, events, and opportunities.
EVENTS
Each month we host a Mentoring Club. The children we serve, their mentors, and our staff join together for a time of intentional teaching, sharing, and growth. We celebrate birthdays and holidays together, participate in projects, discuss struggles and develop mindfulness skills.
ACTIVITIES
Both at club and in the community we engage in many activities. Museum visits, community service, pottery lessons, laser tag, and exploration of nature are just a few of the activities we’ve enjoyed.
OPPORTUNITIES
We find it’s important for our kids to gain knowledge and experience in our program. We provide opportunities for students to develop peer leadership, public speaking skills, and focus on kindness in all aspects of growth and development.
