SUMMER PROGRAM
MAKING MOMENTS MATTER
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
There are 3.6 million reports of child abuse, neglect or abandonment in the United States each year. Because of that abuse one of these children die every six hours.
But you can make a difference — through your support of Central WI Royal Family Kids. Our annual summer camp programming is developed to empower, encourage, and uplift children in the foster care system.
Activities are purposefully designed to allow children the opportunity to achieve success and build new life experiences. We celebrate these kids through every moment. We teach them that they are not forgotten and not abandoned. We teach them that they are inherently valuable and loved. God’s love is modeled consistently and intentionally through games, sports, activity centers, bible stories, drama and quiet times. We believe every child deserves to know that they matter
FUN! ON PURPOSE
Our Summer Program has very specific goals. To encourage, empower, and uplift at-risk youth. Our goals are achieved through a variety of activities, events, and opportunities during camp.
EVENTS
Each day of camp we hold special events. We celebrate “Everybody’s Birthday” by having a huge birthday party with games, cake, and gifts. We want the children to know that they are celebrated and worth celebrating. We host a "Formal Dinner" and provide an opportunity to “get fancy” with a wide range of costumes and outfits. We encourage and model chivalry and proper dinner etiquette. We host a "Talent Show" to allow the children an opportunity to showcase their talents and develop experience in public speaking/performance. All of our events are provided in a safe and nurturing environment, allowing for positive personal growth.
ACTIVITIES
There are a variety of activities at camp to meet the needs, interests, and desires of our kids. We have arts & crafts projects, horseback riding, canoeing, fishing, bike riding, archery, field games, woodworking, and more! Our activities are designed to maximize positive feedback, nurture mentor relationships, and provide personal connection.
OPPORTUNITIES
We find it’s important for our campers to gain knowledge and experience in a variety of areas while in our program. We provide opportunities for them to develop peer leadership, public speaking skills, artistic expression, and more. Because so many of our campers have a traumatic history, we find that its important to provide social-emotional instruction. As the opportunity arises we provide instruction in mindfulness, coping techniques, deep breathing exercises, and other coping techniques, while focusing on intentional kindness in all aspects of growth and development.
